ROY GARIBALDI DECIDES TO RETURN TO HIS ROOTS AFTER NEARLY TWENTY YEARS.

He was once one of the top photographers in the Country, shooting Supermodels, Celebrities, Presidents of the United States, Professional Athletes and more.Garibaldi feels that for the most part, photographers either aren’t putting their heart and creativity behind the original photo that they are taking, or they don’t have any. He says “I feel a chimpanzee can take a photo today.” With computer software anyone can manipulate a photo to look good, instead of using their creativity to organically create a photo. Using computer software to touch up a photo is one thing. Today photographers are using it to create the entire photo. This is known as photo illustration, not photography. People should simply take their own picture or have someone else take it, then pay a photo illustrator to enhance it instead of paying a premium for a “so called” professional photographer.

“Back in the late 80′s while photographing for the San Francisco Giants, I created shots for the front cover of Giants Magazine. Those exact shots are what ended up on the front cover. Nothing manipulated, nothing manufactured. Just creativity, talent and passion.”

Today you can virtually screw up an entire photo shoot and someone can make it look good. I did not have that luxury years ago, so I perfected my photography skills to create great shots that didn’t need to be manipulated.” Most photographers today don’t have the same passion and skills like someone like the great Annie Leibovitz.

Getting back to his roots is very exciting to Garibaldi. He is looking for unique clients that are looking to bring organic creativity to a photograph.
